Writing quality posts does take time, plenty of research, good planning, and a commitment to providing value to the readers, but the payoff potential in the end is fantastic. Network, network, network! One of the most simple and natural methods of blog marketing is making friends with fellow bloggers. And making friends is easy for bloggers. The best thing about the blogosphere is that those that would normally view themselves as arch-rival competitors find they have something in common and something worth sharing. Marketing blogs by working together to better serve the readers of a niche is a great thing. Go ahead… get blogrolled!

Support The Community

Popular blogs generally have very loyal visitor communities based around the posts and their commentary. Savvy blog marketers learn how to encourage comments on their own blog posts and also how to leave valuable, traffic building comments on other blogs. The key to blog marketing through comments is to only say something if it’s insightful, positive, and completely relevant. Low quality commenting that’s just intended to lure traffic is almost always seen as spammy behavior and will only hurt an overall blog marketing strategy.

Don’t Overlook The Obvious

Taking a multi-faceted blog marketing approach is the best way to score the best returns on the effort put forth. A large portion of any blog’s new traffic will come from various online sources. Commenting on blogs is often cited as being important for any website’s link-building efforts. However, the benefits of blog commenting vary depending on how you approach the process. Most people who are doing it solely to build links and drive traffic to their site leave quick, relatively thoughtless comments on blogs that do not have no-follow turned off. While this may bring your blog instant traffic and links, the long-term benefits of leaving thoughtful comments and building relationships with bloggers is far more valuable.

Blog Commenting for Relationship-Building

When you comment on a blog not just to drop links but to actually interact with the blogger and his/her readers, you build an ongoing relationship that will give you far more benefits in the long run. When you comment on blogs to actually start a valuable conversation, the blogger will be more inclined to take you seriously. Self-serving blog comments may give you visibility, traffic, and links but what about building relationships with other people online that will bring you long-term benefits? If a popular blogger endorses one of your sites or services in the future, it could provide you with far more value than a self-serving link.

It’s obvious to bloggers when you leave generic comments that are there for the sake of driving traffic to your site or building links. Bloggers respect commentators who are actually trying to develop a personal connection and rapport with them. Consider altering your mindset about blog commenting because the benefits of putting more thought into your comments and connecting with bloggers will pay off in the future.

In conclusion, blog commenting should be considered a networking tactic rather than a link-building tactic. The long-term benefits of forging mutually valuable relationships with bloggers are far more promising than the immediate benefits link dropping may offer you. Link dropping may bring you some traffic but the people who read your thoughtless blog comments aren’t going to hold you in very high regard. Building a powerful reputation is an essential component of your success online.

What is your blogging for profit plan? Many marketers have big dreams about building up big time profits with a blog. That is a great goal and very attainable but what is your plan for achieving that goal?

Most likely you already have what it takes to build a profitable blogging empire. If you have even below average intelligence and the will to work that you can do it.

But why is it that very few, less than 5% actually, ever attain the goal that they made of making a full time income from blogging?

There are big reasons that keep most bloggers from hitting it big. Do you want to know what they are? Keep reading because they are about to be laid out for you so you can keep from making these same mistakes.

Reason number one as to why most people do not succeed with their blog is that their expectations for how fast the money will come in is very unrealistic and in turn they end up giving up before they ever gave their blog a chance so succeed.

The second problem that many bloggers end up having is that their blog traffic does not come in as fast and as huge as they expected. There is a lot of bad information floating around on the internet about how to generate free traffic to a blog, what’s worse is that most of it will cost you money to learn.

You can overcome these two obstacles very easily so that you will not give up. If you stay with it then you will reap the rewards.

Overcoming the first problem is simple, don’t expect to quit your day job next month and don’t put in so much time that you get burned out. Most people spend every waking moment building their blog thinking that they will make so much money that they can go full time in a matter of weeks. That’s not going to happen. 6 months is a realistic goal though.

Spend an hour or two per day building your blogging empire so you don’t burn out.

The second obstacle is also easy to overcome. Find a marketer who has a proven traffic generating system who has given other people a successful system to follow.

Any marketer who knows what he is talking about is going to shoot you straight though and there will be work to do, if he tells you otherwise then run.

Many would be successful people give up and quit because they don’t have a handle on these two dynamics. Do let yourself be one of those people. If you want to build a blogging empire then make a choice that you will not quit and find a traffic generation system that works.
